Multi-day joint international field trip 2024: results

We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Information Studies, under the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence #TIA2030, led by Prof. Dr. Borut Rončević, successfully organised a multi-day joint international field trip to Belgium and Luxembourg (15. 9. 2024 to 19. 9. 2024). Various target groups, such as students, researchers, and external stakeholders attended.

During the field trip, we had the opportunity to visit some of the key European Union institutions and organisations: the EU Parliament, where we learned valuable insights into how the European Union's law-making body functions and its role in shaping policies that align with global objectives like the UN Agenda 2030 for sustainable development; the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), which provided a comprehensive understanding of how civil society influences EU policies and how these policies contribute to achieving Agenda 2030; Scotland House in Brussels, which offers a highly integrated presence of Scotland in EU, delivering services that foster Scotland's economic growth, diplomatic relations, and cultural promotion at the EU level, also providing a view of how Scotland is committed to Agenda 2030, contributing to the EU’s broader sustainability goals.
