Call for contributions: Special journal volume

We are happy to announce a call for papers for a special issue of Research in Social Change (RSC) journal.

The general topic is Strategic insights for Agenda 2030 implementation - EU dimension, with specific topics:

  • SOFIA approach and Agenda 2030.

  • Institutions, social networks and cognitive frames in Agenda 2030.

  • The European Union and public diplomacy for Agenda 2030.

Journal information: RSC is an interdisciplinary journal aiming to engage a wider academic audience by questioning and exploring the nature and impacts of changes in social institutions, changes in social behaviour and social relations as they occur daily. RSC publishes original research articles that contribute to the social sciences, which are discussed through empirical or theoretical argumentations. The editors especially encourage new methodological approaches as well as innovative theoretical considerations. RSC welcomes, but is not limited to, the contributions of young and prospective academics at the start or on advancing their careers. In doing so, RSC aims to become a vivid platform for discussing up-to-date topics dealing with the most prominent themes within the social sciences.

Instructions for authors:

  • The editors accept original contributions in English. By submitting a manuscript, an author certifies that the work is original and is not being considered simultaneously by another publisher.

  • Manuscripts should normally be between 6000-8000 words, including references, tables, and figures. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed, and only those receiving favourable recommendations will be accepted for publication.

  • Manuscripts should be written in British English.

  • References: Please follow Chicago Manual Style, 17th edition, author-date system. Authors are supposed to follow the reference guide.

  • Authors may submit their papers in any scholarly format or layout. However, they should follow the structure in a sample available through this link.

  • Authors are supposed to anonymise manuscripts. Their names and funding information should be removed, and they can be re-added later in the peer review process.

  • RSC employs a double-blind peer review system.

  • Reviewer selection is critical to the publication process, and we base our choice on many factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our own experience with a reviewer’s characteristics. We select quick and careful referees and provide reasoning for their views.
